As we move into spring after a cold, but mild winter, what better time to talk about all the things that make us like this time of the season. Mother Goose Time theme for the month is “Birds and Eggs” for our pre-kindergarten and 3 year-old preschool classes. The children will learn everything you need to know about birds and where they live. Our toddler class’s theme is “Ocean Dive”, which will cover many of the things we like about the ocean, sand, and sea creatures. Other themes are Easter and Earth Day (Friday, April 22nd).
Last year, JCDS reached the STAR 4 level in the Keystone STARS Program, which is the highest level in the program. Our staff continues to work hard to maintain this STAR 4 level, and it is a tribute to their dedication towards providing quality care and education to the children in our program. We are all very proud of continuing at this STAR 4 level.
The Week of the Young Child is April 2nd – 8th. This annual celebration focuses public attention on the needs of young children and their families, and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. It is also to raise awareness in making the critical early years the best they can be for all children.
