Our facility offers a clean, warm, home-like environment which is equipped with the most up-to-date and safest toys and learning materials. Our Philosophy
We believe that every child should be provided with the opportunity to develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally to his or her greatest potential. Through skillful guidance and a safe, secure, and happy environment, children will develop self-confidence and gain the skills needed for future growth.
The atmosphere at Jeffersonville Country Day School is one of acceptance and love. Our goal is to nurture the total child by enhancing a positive self-image and encouraging the child’s natural curiosity to learn about the world around them.
Hours of Operation
Jeffersonville Country Day School is open from 7:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The school is closed on legal holidays and for one week during the December holiday season. Every effort is made to remain open during inclement weather.
Our Staff
Our staff consists of a team of trained professionals who are carefully screened for their academic merits as well as their patience, love, and understanding of young children. Each staff member is certified in Infant/Child CPR, First-Aid and Safety, and is involved in on-going training in the education of young children.
The Parent’s Role in the School
We firmly believe that a child’s success in life is heightened by parental involvement at home and at school. Parents are always welcome to visit the school anytime and to partake in-school field trips, classroom parties, and special events.
Open two-way communication between parents and school is essential. Parent-Teacher conferences are held throughout the school year to discuss your child’s progress. Monthly parent newsletters are distributed to inform parents of what children are learning at school and special school events, along with offering learning extension ideas and parenting tips.
Our Curriculums
Our academic programs are progressive and based on established national developmental guidelines set for young children. Our curriculums consist of music, art, science, reading readiness, whole-language experiences, math readiness, social studies, health and safety, and cooking.
The children also enjoy numerous, parties, and special events that are held throughout the year.
Our academic program runs from September through mid-June.
